Millwall face competition from League One rivals Sheffield United in the transfer race for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Chris Taylor, reports say.
Taylor’s spell at Rovers appears to be coming to an end with the Championship club said to be hoping to offload the player this summer.
The 29-year-old spent the second-half of this season at the Den and helped the Lions reach the play-off final before they were beaten 3-1 by Barnsley.
Neil Harris is understood to be a huge admirer of the bustling midfielder and wants to make Taylor a permanent signing ahead of the new season.
However, HITC Sport say Sheffield United are also keen on a move for the former Oldham veteran and have even held talks over a switch to Yorkshire.
With both clubs hoping to acquire Taylor’s signature, a summer transfer battle could be set to unfold.
The loanee scored on his second full debut for Millwall and went on to make 13 appearances for the south London club.
