Neil Harris has urged Millwall fans to “bring a wall of noise” to Wembley on Sunday.

The Lions face Barnsley in the League One play-off final and Harris hopes supporters produce a hostile atmosphere.

Millwall fans played their part in the semi-final win over Bradford as over 16,000 flocked to the Den last Friday to back the team.

Harris said: “My message to the fans? Enjoy themselves.

“Bring the atmosphere that they brought to Bradford in both legs, bring a Millwall atmosphere, bring a wall of noise and a hostile atmosphere.

“But enjoy themselves, for sure.”

When Millwall visited Wembley in 2013, trouble broke out among a minority of fans.

But the club have made great progress in cleaning up its reputation and Harris insists Millwall has come a long way.

He said: “We’ve come a long way as a club. We do a lot of good at the club.

“I was at the House of Parliament [on Tuesday] celebrating 30 years of our community, we were invited by our Peers to go there and celebrate that. That goes a little under the radar.

“So the club has come a long way. Yes, bad press of course is still linked with the club at times but I think that’s society and that’s football in general.

“There were a lot of good stories and it was a fantastic night for our club and our community to enjoy. The reward was richly deserved, in my opinion.

“My focus is my players and if we perform on Sunday our fans will certainly enjoy themselves.”

After Millwall defeated the Bantams last Friday, Harris has had over a week to work with his squad ahead of the Wembley final.

The former striker says his side are confident going into the clash, but not arrogant.

“Training has gone well,” the 38-year-old added.

“It’s a privileged position we’re in that’s come through a lot of hard work. We’re there on merit but we want to win the game.

“We’re relaxed because we’ve got a good group of lads. Confident, but not arrogant, which is how we’ve been all season.

“We’re playing against a really good side and it’s going to be a really good game of football. The biggest thing is we’re looking forward to it.”
