The Football Association have rejected Millwall’s appeal against the red card Mahlon Romeo received during the 2-1 win over Gillingham at the weekend.
The young defender was shown a straight red for a late challenge on Brennan Dickenson.
Neil Harris confirmed after the Kent clash that the club intended to appeal the decision, but the FA have today rejected Millwall’s appeal of wrongful dismissal.
The verdict means Romeo, 20, will miss both legs of the semi-final tie against Bradford and, should the Lions progress, the League One play-off final on May 29.
Millwall travel to Bradford in the first leg on Sunday, with the return fixture at the Den on May 20.
