Steve Morison insists Millwall are not getting carried away as the race for promotion heats up.

A fine run from Neil Harris’ side has seen the Lions climb to fifth in the League One table – six points away from an automatic play-off place.

Millwall travel to Bradford on Saturday, before hosting high-flying Burton on Easter Monday.

Morison admitted there was a good feeling in the camp approaching the final nine games of the season, but says the squad are purely focussing on their next fixture.

“We just take each game as it comes. I know it’s a cliché and everyone says the same thing but we literally do,” he said.

“Next focus is Bradford now, we’ve ticked Sheffield United off the list, it’s Bradford on Saturday and that’s all we focus on. As long as you keep winning your games others can’t catch you.

“We’ve got a little cushion now of four points against Bradford and Barnsley but like I say we’ve got to play Bradford, it’s a massive game as we don’t want them one point behind us with eight games to go.”

Morison, 32, has been in fine form this season with strike partner Lee Gregory.

The attacking duo have netted 36 goals between them this term and will be hoping to extend their fine runs at Valley Parade.
