Millwall winger Jed Wallace says he will not rule out a return to the Lions after his loan spell expires.

Wallace is on loan from Championship side Wolves until mid-April and will only be available for another six games after Millwall’s comfortable 3-0 win over Blackpool on Saturday.

The 21-year-old smashed in his first goal for the club at the weekend after playing a part in every game since his arrival in January.

His impressive form has coincided with a great run of form for Millwall with six wins in their last ten league games and Wallace has suggested his impending April departure date may not mark the end of his Millwall career.

He said: “I am loving my time here. I don’t really want it to end to be honest.

“When I came here I said to be my dad ‘I don’t want to play like a loan player’. I want to look like I am part of the group.

“I have played 12 or 14 games and they have just gone like that. It just goes so quickly, so you have got to enjoy it while you can and obviously working hard is the minimum.

“I’ve really enjoyed being at a good club. I would never rule out playing for Millwall in the future.”

Wallace was one of the stand-out players on Saturday, causing mayhem down Blackpool’s wings and thoroughly deserving his goal.

The effort had a touch of luck to it when Wallace’s free-kick squeezed through Blackpool’s split wall.

After the game manager Neil Harris said that Millwall will address Wallace’s removal from the side only after his remaining six weeks are over.

However, Harris expects there to be plenty of alternatives to Wallace including the likes of under-21 stars Aiden O’Brien and Fred Onyedinma.
