Neil Harris was full of praise for his Millwall side after they returned from their daunting trip to Sheffield United with a 2-1 victory.

Striker Aiden O’Brien provided the Lions with the lead, before the Blades hit back with twenty minutes remaining.

However, another O’Brien goal ensured Millwall recorded a seventh win in their last 11 games in all competitions.

“I think everybody now knows what they're going to get from a Millwall team,” Harris, 38, said.

“We weren't at our best today, not with the ball anyway. Without the ball our shape was really good and really organised.

“They really battled and there were some good warriors out there today.

“I think we can do better – we can always do more – but I'm delighted with that and I'm delighted with the week.”

The victory capped off a productive week for the Lions, who also gained an invaluable point away at Blackpool in midweek to climb to 10th in League One.

And Harris reserved special praise for Irishman O’Brien, who has been one of the club’s most threatening players in recent weeks.

“The biggest compliment I can give Aiden is that he never stands still,” Harris added.

“He is always on the move and that is such an important quality in a striker.

“Yet again I was really impressed with all of my forward players for the way they pressed at the right times, created opportunities and got balls into the box.

“We put our faith in some young players and there were outstanding all game for us.

“It is a big result but we are not getting carried away. What we are doing, though, is looking up and not down which is important for a young group.”
