Millwall manager Neil Harris was pleased with his team’s performance in the 2-2 draw at Wigan last night, despite the Lions conceding a last-minute equaliser.

After a quiet first half the Latics took the lead after the break when Michael Jacobs linked up with Francisco Junior to slot the ball past Jordan Archer.

The Lions have been impressive away from home this season, however, and were soon level through Fred Onyedinma.

Defender Mark Beevers then rose well to head Millwall in front, but in the dying seconds Archer failed to deal with a routine cross, allowing Will Grigg to poke home to seal a point.

“I’m delighted firstly with the way my team responded to going a goal behind,” he told the club website.

“It looked like we had the ascendancy, the momentum and we looked fine.

“I was frustrated with the last goal because we didn't quite get the luck of the break in our penalty area and when the ball fell to him he swivels and hits it, and it hits two of my players before it goes in.

“It's a point gained though definitely, so I'm pleased with that.

“We have been really good of late; it was four wins in five and now it's four wins in six with a draw.

“There has been a lot of progression in our play and our performances and results on the road have shown that we have a real bit of spirit about us.”

Harris will be hoping to extend Millwall’s fine away form on Saturday when the Lions travel to London Road to face Peterborough.
