Millwall will begin life back in League One with an away trip to Shrewsbury Town on August 8.

Coventry City visit The Den the following weekend with Barnsley quickly following on August 18.

Scunthorpe away (August 22) and Chesterfield at home (August 29) complete the month but the reality of the club’s relegation will become even clearer when the Lions travel to Port Vale on September 5, as this is the first international break to miss out on.

After Crewe away boss Neil Harris can look forward to taking on former side Southend United at The Den on September 19, the return meeting at Roots Hall scheduled for December 28.

Millwall’s other holiday games are at home to Walsall on Boxing Day and on the road at Barnsley on January 2.

With no other London sides in the division, Gillingham is probably as close as it gets to a derby next year.

Millwall have home advantage for the first clash on December 19 and visit Kent on the final day (May 8).
