Neil Harris has called for a quick decision to be made on whether Rotherham will or will not be deducted points for fielding an ineligible player.

The verdict is expected before this weekend on whether the Millers will be hit where it hurts most by having three points taken away after Farrend Rawson played in Easter Monday’s 1-0 win over Brighton while overstaying his loan spell from Derby.

If Rotherham do have those three points taken away, that would leave them just one point ahead of the Lions and two in front of Wigan with just two games remaining.

And Den manager Harris wants to know what is happening before his side take on Derby on Saturday.

He told News Shopper: “We are at the stage now where I think Millwall, Wigan and Rotherham will be really keen to know what is going to happen.

“All three teams will deal with that scenario as and when it happens.

“Of course it would give us a huge lift but all three managers will say exactly the same thing – we can’t control that, we have to get on with our job, which is the game coming up on Saturday.”
