Ian Holloway is hoping Millwall can pull Leeds United closer to the relegation zone with victory at Elland Road on Saturday.

The Lions head north looking for a third straight win on the road following recent 1-0 away successes at Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City.

Tuesday’s victory at St Andrews means only goal difference is currently keeping Holloway’s team in the drop zone.

And the potential to get out of the bottom three and drag as many rivals as possible into the dogfight is a big incentive ahead of the Leeds clash.

Ollie said: “It is going to be a tough game but it is one we are really looking forward to.

“Can we close the gap on them? Can we actually nibble away at that five points they’ve got above us?

“If we can, if we took all three, it would be absolutely brilliant for us.

“It would reel somebody else back towards us.”

He added: “As I’ve said before, there are more than enough games for us to do that in and this is one we are looking at feeling pretty confident about ourselves.

“Can we get three wins in a row on the road?

“That’s a big challenge for us but the good news is we haven’t got any knocks, we haven’t got any injuries, the boys are all in.”

Holloway recently drafted in Michael Tonge on loan from Leeds but the midfielder will be unable to play against his parent club under the terms of that deal after impressing in the Birmingham victory.

The Den boss said: “I’ve got to change the team with one person because he can’t play.

“Hopefully I’ve got three people chaffing at the bit to play there for me and that will be Jimmy Abdou, Angel Martinez who is fit now and Ed Upson.

“I will have to select one of those to go in that slot, try and do what we did the other evening and not disrupt the team in any way.”

Holloway added: “I’m really looking forward to it to be honest with you.

“The lads got something they deserved (at Birmingham) but it is about doing it again now.

“I’m going to spend my time having a look at what my analysts have done on Leeds, their set plays and what they do.

“I’ll get some things to show our lads so first off we stop them from scoring, then we win the ball back and then we go and score ourselves.

“That’s all I want to keep doing for the lads.”

One Leeds player Millwall will know plenty about is ex-Lion Steve Morison, who has recently won his way back into the first team with the Whites.

Ollie said: “There are some people that we obviously know and Steve is one of them.

“I think he did really well for us last year, he got eight goals.

“We all wanted him to get more than that but he got eight goals for us that helped us stay up.

“We all know he is at Leeds and has had a tough season but now he is back in the team and I’m sure he will be trying to win the game for them against us.

“But from my point of view Neil Redfearn has got the trust of the owner and he has got them playing in a way that the Leeds supporters are very proud of.”
