Ian Holloway believes Saturday’s fixture with Blackpool is “massive”.

Millwall travel to their relegation rivals on the back of just one win since October but Saturday’s game represents a big chance for them to end that run.

“We need to keep some distance between us and them so it is a massive game,” Holloway said.

“We are where we are and we have to sort it out. I want us to return to the confidence we had in our play at the end of the last season and the beginning of this one, because at the moment we are getting a few things wrong and being punished for them.

“There are 22 games left which is enough time to improve. Last season nobody gave us a chance when we went bottom of the table, but we showed what we can do by going unbeaten for eight games and staying up.

“I want that belief back and all it takes is a small winning run to get things going. With 22 games left there is the time to find some form.”

Holloway led Blackpool to the Premier League in 2010, where they attracted attention for their entertaining brand of football.
