Ian Holloway has demanded his team overhaul their home form in their bid to remain in the Championship.

Millwall haven’t won at The Den since October, when they defeated Cardiff
1-0. Their sole victory since then came at Brighton.

They travel to Norwich on Friday, two days before Bournemouth visit The Den, where Holloway believes Millwall’s Championship status can be retained.

“We’ve got 24 tough games to go and I’m looking forward to every one of them,” he said.

“What we need to do is stick together and the players need to stand up and be counted at home. Our home record over the last three years hasn’t been very good at all.

“I believe we can beat anybody on our day and we have got to make sure those days come a little bit more often.

“The team will be ready and well prepared. We will deal with going up to Norwich on Christmas Day. Let’s hope we can get the right result. I believe we can.”

Holloway has already discussed the desire to strengthen his team in the January transfer window but he on Tuesday also revealed his long-term plans for the club surround Millwall’s younger talents.

“We have earned the right to be in the Championship and we want to stay here,” he said.

“What we have got to do is be a Championship club next year and get some of these young kids into the team on a regular basis. That is what I intend to do.

“It’s about where we are going and what we are building. We have been really close and tight in nearly every game, apart from Middlesbrough.

“I need to add some and will try and add the right people in January if we can.

“If not, let’s get behind this lot and keep them going.

“We want togetherness. What I want to do is get this group ready to take whatever is thrown in front of it.”
