Ian Holloway has revealed his admiration for Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe ahead of Saturday’s visit to Dean Court.

Bournemouth are a point behind Championship leaders Derby while Millwall, who drew 0-0 with Charlton at the weekend, remain 18th.

“They’ve had a really good season so far,” said Holloway.

“I really like their manager, he’s young, he’s fresh, and he’s got a lot of talent – he’s very steady.

“I think the club have changed immeasurably from what they used to be.

“They’re showing all sorts of ambition financially, so that’ll give him a chance to get to where he wants to get.

“Is there anybody else who throws it out and passes it and moves it about better than them?

“Maybe Derby a little bit.

“I’m expecting a very, very tough game, but I think it’s one we can win.”

Howe was in 2011 targeted by both Charlton and Crystal Palace as the two respectively sought successors to Phil Parkinson and George Burley.

This season’s success has further enhanced his reputation and inspired the belief he is among England’s most promising managers.

“I see no reason, there’s nothing in his past history, nothing in his makeup, nothing in the way he behaves himself and conducts himself that the FA wouldn’t like,” said Holloway, when asked if he views Howe as a future England manager.
