Students' successful grading
The Tan'Gun Taekwondo students
The Tan'Gun Taekwondo students

MASTER Park Chan Il from the Chung Yong Taekwondo University in Korea and Master Derek Sumner from the British Taekwondo Control Board were special guest examiners for the first grading at Tan'Gun Taekwondo.

Chief instructor of the Plumstead Leisure Centre club David Carmichael said: "All the students have worked incredibly hard to get their grade.

"Everyone was a little nervous because of our very special guest from Korea.' Twice British gold medallist for Patterns Derek Sumner said: "The standard was very high and the students of Tan'Gun Taekwondo should be exceptionally proud of themselves.

"It is important to realise, especially with the 2012 Olympics not far away, we may have superstars of the future within this club."

In total 13 students went for their grade and all passed with flying colours.
