Impressive start for duo
DANIEL Tulett and Jez McCann all made winning starts in the first stage of the Team Darenth Cycle Club summer in the park series.
In the under-10s event, Herne Hill YCC member Daniel Tullett completed the 6km course in a time of 11m58s, 30 seconds clear of nearest rival Tridan Price from Chelmer CC.
There was a similar 30-second winning margin for Team Darenth's Jez McCann in the under-12s section to ensure one home triumph.
Organiser Graham Parkin gave out certificates to all the riders along with prizes at the end of the evening, and also thanked all that helped on the night with marshalling duties and alike.
