Youth racing returns to Dartford
TEAM Darenth Cycle Club is once again holding its now annual youth cycle racing in Dartford Centre Park every Friday evening.
The series runs for nine weeks from tonight and ends on June 27.
After the very successful Grand Depart of the Tour de France last year, the council has once again encouraged Team Darenth by letting them have use of the park.
With more than 30 riders each night last year competing in the three categories - the under-eights, under-10s and under-12s - racing is always fast and fun.
Spectators are always welcome and if you fancy having a go, you need a bike which must have two brakes, a helmet and a parent to sign the consent form.
For more information on the racing and fees, call Graham Parkin on 07739 356749.
Team Darenth also meet every Saturday at Wilmington Enterprise Collage, Common Lane, Dartford, from 10am.
Groups take part in many activities, all under the supervision of trained staff and helpers.
