FOOTIE fan Lee Potter has no qualms about letting people know who he is supporting in the World Cup.
He and his son Connor 13, have just finished painting a giant England flag on the side of their home in Okehampton Crescent, Welling, in time for England’s first game on Saturday.
The idea came from a chat in the pub with his mates, who did not think Mr Potter would carry out his promise.
Mr Potter, 45, a highways maintenance operations controller, spent £100 on the paint.
He said: “The wall was rendered in the rain and is blemished, so it will have to come off anyway.”
He says the effort was worth it and even his partner Kerry Arnold “loves it”.
Mr Potter added: “We have had loads of comments, people taking photos and even tooting as they drive by.”
And is England going to win? Mr Potter was hedging his bets. He said: “I’d like to think so.”
