Crystal Palace sign centre-back, could make Eagles debut against Sheffield Wednesday

CRYSTAL Palace have bolstered their defence with the capture of former Ipswich man Damien Delaney on a free transfer.

The centre-half has signed a short-term contract and goes into the squad for tomorrow's match against Sheffield Wednesday.

After joining Ipswich in 2009, 31-year-old Delaney made 106 appearances and scored three goals.
