WELLING assistant manager Barry Ashby is refusing to plan for the play-offs until his side are mathematically guaranteed a top five finish.
The Wings currently sit in third place after a 0-0 draw at Salisbury on Saturday and despite being in a comfortable position, Ashby admits they may have to rotate the squad for the remainder of the season.
He said: "We play game-by-game and if and when we get to the play-offs we will start planning for it.
"We won't be taking anything for granted, we are involved in a long season so we have to be careful.
"We are lucky to have 18 players who could all play, so we may have to use all of them.”
Welling travel to 16th-placed Eastbourne Borough on Saturday before a home meeting with bottom of the table Thurrock on Easter Monday.
Thurrock may well be relegated by then if Saturday's results go against them, but Ashby is confident his side will not get complacent against teams they are expected to turnover.
He said: "We do not need to warn the players against complacency, as we have had some tough results against teams we should beat.
"These games will not be easy and we will have to fight for every point we can get.
"It is tough to play two games in such a short space of time."
The Wings have been involved in the promotion race for the majority of the season.
Ashby is pleased with the team's performances and is confident of more success over the Easter period.
He added: "We have a good record recently and despite drawing the past two we were able to keep a clean sheet in both.
"We have not lost many in a very tough division and we are third in the league.
"It is pleasing at the minute but a there have been a few times when we have let ourselves down over the season.
"The squad has done really well in a league that people do not give enough credit.
"Anyone can beat anyone. We are delighted with our position and we have plenty of points to show for it."
Welling have an almost fully-fit squad to choose from for their Easter clashes with Luis Cumbers the only doubt after picking up a knock last week.
