THIS Saturday 4th September 2010 is Non League Day when football fans are encouraged to support their local Non League side, in the absence of any Championship or Premiership Football that weekend.
The idea of senior club supporters taking the opportunity to watch their local club started as a Facebook campaign but has gathered momentum.
Blue Sq Bet club Welling United are offering all adult Premiership, Championship and Football League Club's Season Ticket Holders to watch Welling's home game on Saturday against Boreham Wood for just £5 on showing there season ticket at the turnstile.
Also to encourage youngsters to Park View Road all under 12s will gain free entry to the game.
Manager Jamie Day has got his team playing attractive football and following their victory over Lewes on Bank Holiday Monday they are currently sixth in the league.
