UNCERTAINTY still surrounds Jamie Day’s appointment as Welling manager after Dartford put a dramatic halt to the move last night.
Day is under contract at Princes Park as a player and it is believed the Darts are trying to obtain some form of compensation for his unexpected departure to Park View Road.
The Wings had intended Day would be in the dugout for his first game in charge at Worcester on Saturday, but as things stand he remains a Dartford player and could still feature for them against Bognor Regis on the same day.
News Shopper contacted both clubs this afternoon to find out exactly what is going on but without success so far.
However, it is understood Dartford FC will be releasing a public statement on the controversy soon.
