Kingstonian 2-0 Cray Wanderers, Defeat at Kingstonian on Easter Monday means that Cray must almost certainly look to the play-offs, for the second year running, if they are to achieve promotion into the Ryman Premier.
K's now need only one point from their last two games, to secure the championship of Division One South and the one automatic promotion place.
Cray will have to rely on the play-offs if they are to gain the second promotion place. Currently lying second in the table, the Wands will likely be joined by Fleet Town, Met Police and Worthing in the play-off battle.
It was not only a bitterly disappointing result for the Wands in the big championship showdown at Kingstonian, but also a desperately dull game for the season's record crowd of 746 for a Division One South game.
K's were in the driving seat with two goals inside the first half hour of the game, and the Wands never got going after that.
Cray are away to already-relegated Crowborough Athletic this Saturday (3pm).
