Cray Wanderers 3-0 Walton Casuals, Cray did their job on Saturday afternoon when they gained three points from lowly Walton Casuals and kept themselves second in the table with three games remaining.

The next of those games is on Easter Monday (3pm) at top of the table Kingstonian, a game that will have an enormous say whether the Wands can finish as champions and gain automatic promotion into the Ryman Premier, or will have to enter the play-offs to fight for the second promotion place.

Kingstonian also have three games to play, and they hold a three point lead over the Wands with a superior goal difference.

While Cray were beating Walton Casuals 3-0 the K's were winning 2-1 away to Burgess Hill on Saturday, to keep themselves in pole position.

Cray manager Ian Jenkins has always reckoned that the promotion race will go right to the wire this season, but he will take his Cray side to Surrey on Monday with every confidence that their recent good form can carry them to victory and keep the door open for winning the championship.

Cray's goals against Walton Casuals came from a Colin Luckett penalty after 14 minutes, and from ruthless finishing by Lewis Wood who netted in the 51st and 90th minutes.
