Beckenham Town 1-1 Corinthian

A RARE error by Beckenham Town keeper Nicky Blue presented Corinthian with an early advantage in Saturday's Kent League clash at Eden Park Avenue.

Becks were without leading scorer Jake Hobbs, Steve McNamara, while Harry Draper who was taken ill just before the kick off.

The visitors were ahead after just three minutes when Blue lost contact with the ball, which fell conveniently for Alfie May to scramble home. Becks had to use new signing Jamie Turner as a makeshift central defender as they pressed to get on level terms.

They had their chances but had to wait until the lively Ben Slade got them level in the 47th minute.

After two home draws, Becks travel to fourth-placed VCD Athletic on Tuesday evening.
