BECKENHAM carry a slender advantage into the second leg of the Macron Premier Division Cup after their home victory over VCD Athletic last night.
However, they may ultimately regret not capitalising on their first half superiority when they created enough chances to have comfortably booked their passage into the next round.
Instead, all they had to show at the break was a Ben Slade goal after 40 minutes.
The second half was a different story with the visitors looking a lot more dangerous and starting to create goal scoring chances. But Adam Greenway hit the crossbar before Harry Draper added Becks second in the 53rd minute.
It looked as though Becks had secured their two-goal margin but the visitors, having had a man sent off with four minutes remaining, then struck back with a priceless goal last minute strike.
