THE Valley is the cheapest of our three Championship grounds to watch football, according to BBC Sport’s Price of Football survey.

The Addicks can boast the cheapest season ticket price (£290), cheapest pie (£2.95) and cheapest cup of tea (£1.85).

Charlton also offer the cheapest match-day ticket at £20, although they share this honour with Crystal Palace, while Millwall charge a minimum £26.

And if you want to buy the most expensive season ticket, it is the Addicks who come out on top again in terms of value for money at £425 ahead of Millwall (£499) and Crystal Palace (£540).

The cheapest season ticket at The Den is £320 and at Selhurst Park £395.

The BBC survey also included a cheapest overall day out category and the results were Charlton (£27.80), Crystal Palace (£28.50) and Millwall (£34).

But the one thing all three Championship clubs agree on is the price of a programme at £3.

If you prefer your football to be of the non-league variety, the survey also included the Conference where Dartford and Ebbsfleet ply their trade.

And it was Fleet who came out on top between the north Kent duo, as the statistics show.

Results for watching football at Stonebridge Road were: cheapest season ticket (£218.50), most expensive season ticket (£310.50), cheapest match-day ticket (£10), most expensive match-day ticket (£15), cheapest overall day out (£15.50), programme (£2.50), pie (£2) and tea (£1).

Dartford’s results were: cheapest season ticket (£226), most expensive season ticket (£280), cheapest match-day ticket (£15), most expensive match-day ticket (£15), cheapest overall day out (£21), programme (£2.50), pie (£2.50) and tea (£1).
