Addicks winger wants more goals

CHARLTON winger Danny Green has admitted he needs to add more goals to his game following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn.
The wideman has been a thorn in opposition defences since being recalled to the side against Derby last month.
But despite putting in a string of impressive performances, the 24-year-old believes there is still more to come from him.
He said: “I need to add more goals to my game. I was disappointed with three last year, even though we won the league.
“I think I should’ve probably done better than that and got into double figures maybe and hopefully in the Championship I can do that.
“I hit the post in the first half which took a bit of a deflection, which was unlucky, and then in the second half Paul Robinson pulled off a good save.
“So I was disappointed I didn’t score but hopefully against Watford I can add another goal.”
The Addicks tussled with Rovers less than 24 hours after the Lancashire outfit had parted company with under-fire boss Steve Kean.
Charlton were very unfortunate not to come away with all three points having been dominant for long periods during the match, an opinion shared by Green.
He said: “We should’ve won the game.
“Blackburn have got a good squad and some very good players with the likes of Pedersen and Jordan Rhodes and people like that.
“I thought the lads did well, we dominated possession and I think we should’ve won the game.
“We approached the game as if Steve Kean was in charge.
“Some of the boys didn’t even realise until they got to the ground today he wasn't their manager.
“Obviously it wasn’t great preparation for them but we just went into the game exactly the same.”
