Weather not the only thing to freeze at Valley

MOST 2012/13 Charlton season tickets will remain at this term’s League One prices until April 5 the club announced last week.

But fans who delay purchasing until the team’s status next season is confirmed could face significant increases.

The price freeze until Easter means that adult season tickets are available from just £240, while U18 and U11 prices remain £75 and £49.

Tickets are due to go on sale next Tuesday and will be available online as well as on 0871 226 1905 or by returning application forms to the commercial centre.

BRADLEY Wright-Phillips will stay at Charlton until at least summer 2013 after his contract was extended for a further 12 months.

A clause in his contract was activated when he made his 25th appearance of the season in the game against Sheffield United.

NINE people were arrested last Wednesday morning following a series of raids by British Transport Police investigating suspected racist chanting following Charlton’s FA Cup match against Fulham.

The Addicks worked closely with officers to identify people and the club has promised to seek life bans for anyone found guilty.

AFTER defeating Margate 4-3 on January 24, Charlton will take on Dartford in the semi-finals of the Kent Senior Cup.

STRIKER Michael Smith scored a hat-trick in his second match for loan club Accrington Stanley on Saturday as Gillingham were beaten 4-3.

Elsewhere, Jason Euell is recovering from an ankle injury and has been sidelined at AFC Wimbledon, while Nick Pope sustained an injury in Welling United’s pre-match warm up on Saturday.

TICKETS for the away matches at Chesterfield on February 11 and Tranmere Rovers on February 18 (both 3pm) are currently on general sale.

Meanwhile, places are on restricted sale for the AFC Bournemouth away match on March 3 (3pm).

Eligibility will tomorrow be extended to all Valley Gold members and season-ticket holders (up to two tickets) and fans who have purchased places for four different away games (up to the minimum number of tickets purchased for all four games).

Should any places remain, tickets will go on general sale next Tuesday.

PRIOR to kick-off against Rochdale on Saturday, fans, players and officials will unite for a minute-long period of applause to remember all those connected with the Addicks and Dale who have lost their lives since the start of 2011 as part of an annual tribute.

TICKETS are currently on general sale for the home games against Rochdale on Saturday and Milton Keynes Dons on February 14 (7.45pm).

Standard prices apply, but all U18s are just £5 for the MK Dons match, while season-ticket holders can buy two extra seats in their stand for just £10 apiece.

Tickets for Colchester United on March 6 (7.45pm) and Notts County on March 10 (3pm) go on general sale on Tuesday.

DILLON Philips saved a penalty as Charlton’s U18s drew 0-0 with Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The U18s return to action today against Fulham and it’s been confirmed that the FA Youth Cup fifth-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur will be played at The Valley on February 16 (7pm).

Tickets are priced £5 adults and over 60s and £1 U18s (who must be accompanied by an adult).

VIP and Valley Gold season-ticket holders can gain free admission (one ticket per membership number), but only if they apply at the commercial centre for their place in advance of the day of the game.

GEMMA Bryan scored a hat-trick as the Charlton women’s team defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 6-2 in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.

The Addicks face Bradford City in the FA Cup this Sunday.
