FORMER Leeds defender Sam Sodje may miss out on the chance to face his old club on Saturday after being forced off through injury at Exeter.

He was already doubtful going into the St James’ Park clash but managed to start despite his knee injury before being replaced by Miguel Llera on 65 minutes.

Nicky Bailey (shoulder) and Kyel Reid (ankle) were also rated as doubtful before the Exeter game, but both featured in Devon with Reid coming off the bench to grab Charlton’s equaliser.

Akpo Sodje was missing at St James’ Park due to a thigh injury.

MIDFIELDER Nicky Bailey and right-back Frazer Richardson were named in the Professional Footballers’ Association League One team of the season on Sunday night.

CHARLTON’S 1-1 draw with Exeter City on Saturday confirmed the Addicks’ place in the play-offs, although automatic promotion is still possible.

Game A of the play-off semi-finals will probably feature third against sixth, with the latter at home in the first leg, while Game B should comprise fourth against fifth, again with the latter club playing host first.

The first leg of Game A is planned for May 14 (7.45pm), with the second leg following on May 17 (7.45pm).

Leg one of Game B is scheduled for May 15 (12.15pm), with the second leg on May 18 (7.45pm).

The Wembley final is on May 29 (3pm).

CHARLTON’S 2009/10 player of the year will be crowned on Sunday night at a special Valley dinner.

A young Addicks side was beaten 4-0 at Reading on Saturday.

TAMER Tuna scored for a Charlton reserve side in a 1-1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge in a private friendly at Sparrows Lane on April 20.

Midfielder Matt Spring, who returned to the squad on Saturday against Exeter City, also featured in the match.
