DANY N’Guessan hinted he would like to stay at Charlton beyond his loan spell following the Addicks’ 1-0 win over struggling Walsall on Easter Monday.
Victory moves the leaders onto 91 points and with only four games remaining, they could seal the League One title in their next home game with Wycombe Wanderers.
The on-loan Millwall attacker bagged the third goal of his loan spell in the win and has now scored in every appearance at the Valley since making the short switch from SE16 to SE7 last month.
And N’Guessan explained how satisfied he was to have his career back on track following a stop-start period at The Den.
He said: “Three games at The Valley and three goals, I couldn’t have asked for much more.
“I just want to carry on. I’m very happy at Charlton, I’m enjoying playing again, I’m enjoying scoring and the team is doing very well.
“I’m just concentrating on the last four games, but we will have to see what happens.
“Charlton is a very big club and I’m very happy here.”
Following a shaky March which saw Chris Powell’s side lose three games, the Easter weekend has put the Addicks firmly back on track to win League One with Monday’s success coming hot on the heels of Saturday’s 1-0 triumph at Oldham.
But N’Guessan insisted yesterday’s three points was far from easy and pointed out the Saddlers’ lowly league position is an unfair reflection on their style of play.
He added: “It was a tough win, it was even harder because we’ve had two games in three days, but we managed to get six points from them so we’re very pleased with that.
“Walsall are a very good attacking side, but we stayed solid at the back and kept another clean sheet which was good.”
