A FOOTBALL team from West Wickham has enjoyed success in a Dutch football tournament.
The Warren JFC’s under-14s took part in two competitions in one weekend, claiming third place at Rood Wit Blauw FC and winning a similar contest at FC Bergen the following day.
It completes a successful year for the boys, who finished joint second in their debut season in the C division of the Tandridge League.
In the Rood Wit Blauw tournament, the Warren picked up two wins and two draws from four games before defeating German side SSV Muhlhausen 2-0 in the third place play-off.
The boys made a clean sweep at FC Bergen, beating the host team 2-0 and then completing victories over VV Oliveo (1-0), VV Varonie (2-0) and S V Gudok (2-0).
This set up a final date with Dutch side SV Reeshof and it was left to top scorer Dominic Beckham to grab the only goal of the game in a 1-0 triumph.
