Everton director of football Steve Walsh has praised Yannick Bolasie’s impact since his move from Crystal Palace in the summer.

Bolasie spent four successful seasons at Selhurst Park before sealing a move to Everton in a deal worth around £25m.

The DR Congo international has played eight games for the Toffees this season – although he is yet to open his account for the club.

Despite this Everton chief Walsh insists the summer signing has performed “very well” so far this term.

The former Leicester City transfer guru is quoted by the Daily Express as saying: “He's done very well. The quality of his crossing so far has been immense. Especially at Goodison.

“The good thing about Yannick is he gets you up the pitch. Whatever you ask of him he uses his strength, his power and his pace and gets you up the field.

“That helps our back four to shift up and then we can play from there.”
