Barnsley have had a bid for Charlton winger Callum Harriott rejected, according to reports.
Harriott endured a turbulent year in SE7 and was loaned out to League One strugglers Colchester in August.
The 22-year-old impressed for the U’s, scoring seven goals and creating a number of assists before returning to south London in January.
The Croydon-born forward impressed on his Valley return and scored three goals in three games during March.
And the Sheffield Star say Harriott’s performances towards the end of the season have attracted attention from Barnsley.
It is claimed the Tykes, who beat Millwall at Wembley to secure Championship football, have seen an initial offer for Harriott rejected by the Addicks.
A product of Charlton’s academy system, Harriott signed his first professional deal in 2011 and has gone on to play 86 league games for the club.
