Crystal Palace have no fresh injury concerns going into the weekend, Alan Pardew has confirmed.

The manager revealed Bakary Sako had returned to training yesterday morning and that Joe Ledley was the only player ruled out of the FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Pardew admitted it was a “terrible shame” that Ledley would miss the game but insisted his side had enjoyed a positive week going into the final.

He said: “Sako trained today which gives us a full compliment of players except for Joe Ledley, who would have been in the frame for the game.

“It’s a terrible shame to miss him but everyone else is fit and well, we’ve had a good week.”

Pardew came close to winning the FA Cup as a player in 1990 – losing to Man United in a replay – and as West Ham boss in 2006.

The 54-year-old admits he has used those setbacks as motivation for the current final.

“I’ve come so close as an English manager, probably the closest for a long, long time than actually winning it,” he added.

“It gives me an opportunity to actually win it.

“I've been involved with it at every level. From being a child to playing and managing. I've grown up with it.”
