Academy striker Josh Umerah has signed a new contract with Charlton until June 2018.

The 19-year-old first joined the club at an U11 level and made his first-team debut for the Addicks in January.

The Catford-born forward has already netted 18 goals for the U21s this season and scored in the Kent Senior Cup final defeat to Dartford on Tuesday night.

Umerah finished last season’s campaign as the U18 top scorer and is highly-rated by Valley coaches, including former first-team forward Jason Euell.

Charlton’s U21 side have reached the national play-offs in the Professional Development League 2 South division.
