The agent of Khouma Babacar has remained coy over the striker’s future amid links with Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Southampton.

Babacar was the subject of substantial interest in January and was reportedly close to leaving Italian club Fiorentina.

Despite remaining in Serie A, speculation over his future remains intense and talkSPORT say he could be on the move in the summer.

The 22-year-old, who has played six games for Senegal, has netted seven goals in 22 appearances for his domestic side this season.

The forward’s agent, Patrick Bastianelli, told Radio Blu: “What of Babacar's future? We'll see, at the moment he is contracted on the objective to be achieved with Fiorentina.”

The Eagles suffered a severe goal-drought over the festive period and for that reason were said to be interested in signing a striker in the January transfer window.

Alan Pardew’s side have failed to maintain their superb start to the season and have still not won a league game in 2016.

The club booked a Wembley trip after beating Reading in the quarter-final of the FA Cup last week, but Pardew will be anxious to find an elusive league win this weekend.

They will have to overcome league leaders Leicester, however, who travel to Selhurst Park with a five-point gap above Tottenham.
