The latest transfer news coming out of Selhurst Park.
Swansea table bid for Palace striker – report
Swansea have tabled a £7.5m bid to sign Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this month.
The former Peterborough star, 26, has only made seven league appearances this term.
Several Premier League and Championship clubs are willing to secure Gayle’s services but Swansea are keen to get a deal completed and have made Palace a substantial offer.
Newcastle tipped to sign forward – report
Newcastle have been backed to sign Swansea forward Bafetimbi Gomis.
Gomis, 30, has made over 50 Premier League appearances for the Swans and had been linked with the Eagles before they completed a deal for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Swansea are said to be close to signing Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi, which would make Gomis’s future at the Liberty Stadium unclear.
Signing Adebayor is no gamble, says Pardew – report
Alan Pardew insists that Palace’s move for ex-Tottenham and Arsenal man Emmanuel Adebayor is not a gamble.
The Togo international joined the South Londoners on Tuesday after spending five months as a free agent following his release from Spurs.
Pardew is hopeful that Adebayor’s heavily incentivised contract at Selhurst Park will ensure a productive spell for the striker.
