Six more people have been arrested after trouble broke out amongst fans during Crystal Palace's game against Charlton in September.

Police investigating violent disorder during Crystal Palace’s 4-1 victory over Charlton at Selhurst Park on September 23 raided addresses in Greenwich, Plumstead, Welling, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and Rochester today (November 18).

Four men, aged 48, 47, 21, and 20, and a 16-year-old youth have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

The 48-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assault on police.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.

The arrests relate to trouble amongst fans both inside and outside the ground during the match.

Police have already arrested six people in connection with the disorder.

Detective Sergeant Andy Collin, from Croydon police, said: "Violence amongst supporters has no place in football; be it before, during or after a match.

"These arrests show that anyone who chooses to engage in violence, will be pursued by officers and arrested."

Enquiries continue.

Anyone with information to assist the investigation is asked to contact DS Andy Collin on 020 86490111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
