Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye has produced the second most interceptions of any player in the Premier League this season.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Eagles in the summer transfer window from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, has made a wonderful start to life in south London.

The Frenchman, who featured in the friendly against England at Wembley on Tuesday evening, has contributed four goals so far but has also provided Alan Pardew with invaluable stability in midfield.

Opta Stats show that Cabaya has recorded 46 interceptions in 12 Premier League appearances this term, which has only been topped by Leicester star N’Golo Kante.

Kante, 24, joined the Foxes in August from Ligue 1 outfit SM Caen and currently leads the way with 48 interceptions.

Following the international break Yohan Cabaye has now returned to Selhurst Park and will be hoping to maintain his productive run at home to Sunderland on Monday night.
