Cray produced a tremendous away day performance to smash league leaders AFC Sudbury for six on a very warm day in Suffolk.

Cray took the lead and on 12 minutes when Andre McCollin’s left wing cross found Leigh Bremner who tapped home from close range.

Cray went two up on 29 minutes when Karl Dent ran unchallenged from midfield to drill a tremendous finish across the keeper and into the net.

Cray added a third goal on 38 minutes when the speedy McCollin beat a static Sudbury defence to round the keeper and roll the ball into the net to give the Wands a 3-0 lead at the break.

Two minutes into the second half it became 4-0 when Grant Basey incredibly netted his third free kick in three games this time with a slightly deflected 20 yard effort.

Sudbury pulled two goals back in the 56th and 59th minutes both from Luke Callander headers.

On 72 minutes Cray put daylight once again between the teams with a fifth goal when McCollin fired in from Malik Ouani’s cross.

Cray then made it six two minutes from time when Bremner notched his second from another Ouani pass to move Cray up to second in the table.
