Charlton signed Milos Veljkovic on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.
The central defender or midfielder, 19, has already played for Middlesbrough this season.
He is also the captain of Tottenham’s U21 side, and the latest individual from their youth ranks to show promise, after the recent emergence of Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Harry Kane.
Veljkovic could make his debut in Saturday’s fixture away at Wolves, when new head coach Guy Luzon is expected to be in charge for the first time.
