Bob Peeters in unconcerned about the prospect of Brighton receiving a boost from the appointment of Chris Hughton.

The Championship strugglers travel to The Valley on Saturday, where Charlton will also be looking to end a poor run of form.

“It’s always against us,” Peeters said.

“It’s always against us. We always have new managers – it was a new manager against Fulham as well (when Charlton lost 3-0 after the appointment of Kit Symons).

“Sometimes you get a boost, sometimes you don’t, but that’s not our business. The most important thing is we’re gonna have a fairly fit squad now, and it’s all about us. We had a fairly good week of training.

“We don’t need to put ourselves under pressure because it’s not that negative like people are saying at the moment.

“Normally you know how a team can play, what their shape is, how they wanna play, but because there’s a new manager there’s some question marks.

“We tried to prepare the boys to be ready and make us go back to what made us strong, to be very hard to beat.

“Normally Brighton try to play out from the back, but with Chris Hughton they might be a little bit more direct. That’s the question

“We try to prepare our team, hopefully we will be ready.”
