Bob Peeters has confirmed Yoni Buyens, Stephen Henderson, Rhoys Wiggins and Frank Moussa are set to be miss Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

Wiggins and Henderson, in particular, are important players, but Morgan Fox and Nick Pope have respectively been deputising for the duo and are expected to continue to do so.

“Yoni Buyens, we don’t know if he’s going to make the squad,” Peeters said.

“He trained on Thursday with the first-team, he’s going to train on Friday, but it’s a hammy injury, and maybe we’re gonna rest him over the weekend and let him train a full week, because with hamstrings you need to be careful.

“(Stephen) Henderson is not gonna be involved. We don’t know yet what the verdict is gonna be on him, but he’s definitely not going to be involved.

“Rhoys Wiggins is getting better. He needs time to let his foot heal, but I think he’s gonna start working on his rehab from next week.

“Frank Moussa is struggling with his knee. You know in this period of the season that you have a lot of injuries normally.”

Peeters also revealed he remains optimistic of imminently having his full squad available.

“I want to have my full squad back (by Christmas),” he said.

“I try to be positive because it wouldn’t be fair to other players who have to play now.

“The injured players need to do their rehab and hopefully they’re gonna return to full fitness very soon.”
