The Wands went down to a very disappointing defeat on a cold, blustery and wet afternoon at Tilbury. To cap a poor afternoon the Wands were reduced to nine men following dismissals for Michael Phillips and Marlon Patterson.
Tilbury had a chance to take the lead on 7 minutes when they were awarded a penalty for handball. Jack West’s kick was saved by Darren Behcet.
Nick Humphrey headed over the crossbar from Rory Hill’s corner and Shaun Welford had a good chance to score when he showed good strength to get into the box his shot was well saved by Johnson.
Cray’s game became very in-disciplined and four players were booked before the break and Michael Phillips was sent off for a second bookable offence for dissent.
The home side had a chance when West took advantage of a poor defensive header to advance on goal but his shot was well saved by Behcet.
Tilbury took the lead on 67 minutes Harry Cook scored with a composed finish.
Tilbury wrapped up the game in the 82nd minute when Flack scored from close range.
To make the Wands day even worse, Cray were reduced to nine men in the 86th minute when Marlon Patterson was sent off.
