Two goals in the last ten minutes helped ten man Cray come from two goals down to earn a point.
The first half was dominated by Aveley who took the lead in stoppage time when Marcus Elliott tapped in from close range.
On 48 minutes Aveley went two up when Junior Ogeji-Ukokwe followed up a fumbled save by Taylor which spilt under him.
On 58 minutes Cray pulled a goal back when Ishmael Welsh’s fine cross was headed in by Ian Daly.
On 67 minutes Cray were reduced to ten men when Abi Boliji was dismissed for two bookable offences.
The game appeared over on 73 minutes when Danny Francis scored with a simple finish.
With 10 minutes to go, the game burst into life when Rory Hill’s impressive run from just inside his own half and fine finish helped give Cray hope.
Two minutes later, Daly’s pass fell to Hill again who from around 20 yards hit a fierce shot into the top corner of the net.
Cray almost won the match when Shaun Welford ran nto the box but turned his shot wide of the post.
