VCD Athletic started their pre-season campaign by hosting Welling United, who had already beaten Sittingbourne and Charlton.
Both teams took the opportunity to use full squads and give trials to players keen to prove themselves.
Although Welling continued their winning streak, both teams will have taken plenty from the game that they can build upon before the start of the season.
Kieron St Aimie and Moses Ashikodi played a half each, and scored the goals that surprised Charlton on Saturday, but were given the opportunity to start a partnership on Tuesday night.

Wings trialist Michael Fondob tries to beat a defender
Barney Williams, whose dual registration meant he had enjoyed playing for both clubs last season, whipped in a cross that Ashikodi knocked down into the path of his strike partner and St Aimie made no mistake.
Wings keeper Lee Butcher was called into action soon after, making a fine save from Michael Power’s sharp volley following his skilful chest down.
Sam Corne, another player who represented both clubs last season, brought a save out of Nick Blue before James Duckworth and Ellis Green both tested Butcher.

Fondob has a crack at goal
Power pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time when converting a penalty after he had been felled in the area.
Wholesale changes at half time for VCD, and at regular intervals for Welling after the break meant that play was scrappy for a while before the game settled down again.
Leigh Bremner came close for the Vickers with a shot that clipped the woodwork but Welling increased their lead soon afterwards when Charlie Penny finished after good work by Harry Beautyman.
Vickers came back strongly, and scored the goal of the game through triallist French, who gave Ali Axol no chance from 25 yards.
Jon Pilbeam fired over and Bremner had a shot saved as VCD looked for an equaliser but Penny almost had the last word for Welling with a curler that was just too high.
