Holloway: Crystal Palace players must buck up their ideas ahead of Arsenal visit

He also admitted that bringing in 14 new players over the summer could have been a mistake but that he is stuck with them until January.
Palace have just three points from eight games, and in the past five games they have found the back of the net twice, and conceded 12 goals – next up at Selhurst Park on Saturday is in-form Arsenal.
Holloway said: “Since we announced the squad, we’ve lost five games and I feel there’s something wrong there.
“I don’t feel that we’ve got the spirit, maybe we changed too many, but the squad is who we’ve got until January so they better buck up, stick together and learn how to stick together.
“It’s tough and we’ve got a nice easy one coming up in Arsenal. The Premier League is unrelenting.”
Monday night had started well for the Eagles when Adrian Mariappa headed Palace ahead – however, a brace of howitzers from Pajtim Kasami and Steve Sidwell had Fulham ahead at the break.
Within 10 minutes of the restart, Palace were 4-1 down when slack defending at two corners allowed Dimitar Berbatov and Philippe Senderos to capitalise.
Holloway said: “It all started quite well, but then we got two bolts from the blue.
“If you’ve seen better goals than that this season I’d like to see them myself. They completely knocked the stuffing out of everybody.”
He added: “We spoke about it at half-time. We needed the next goal and we’re all bitterly disappointed with the way we conceded two from set pieces.
“So it is totally and utterly flat as a pancake in the dressing room. It does not feel like we have been kicked in the teeth, more like kicked in the crown jewels.”
