LANGLEY Park School triumphed in the third Bromley secondary schools’ inter-cricket tournament last week at Beckenham CC.
The popular event was due to take place on June 10 but the weather forced its postponement until last Tuesday.
Inter-cricket bridges the gap between softball and hardball cricket by using coloured equipment and a rubberised ball.
It can be played both indoors or outdoors and the competition was targeted at Year 7 and Year 8 pupils. Coopers, Langley Park and Kelsey Park all took part, with some represented by a couple of teams who each played four or five games non-stop.
Kelsey Park earned the Spirit of Cricket trophy.
