A YOUNG cricket team from Bexley have been looking the part this year after acquiring a new kit thanks to a small grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation.
Dartfordians Cricket Club currently has several youth and senior weekend sides as well as playing in a weeknight T20 league.
The club takes pride in allowing younger players to integrate into senior squads and this season entered a side into a development league to further encourage inter-generational cricketing in an enjoyable and relaxed capacity.
Many of the players who play in the weekend development league also play in the T20 competition.
The rules of the game state that teams must play in an alternative colour, unlike the traditional white that is used in normal cricket games.
Dartfordians were awarded a small grant fund of £500 from the Jack Petchey Foundation to purchase a yellow and maroon kit.
Club welfare officer June Deane said: “The T20 game is very popular with the younger players, particularly its speed and modern approach to kit style.
