But the early exits of Wayne Morgan (4), Callum Basey (12), Richard Clinton (0) and Charlie Walker (1) left the hosts facing an uphill task on 25-4.

And although Miguel Barbosa added a creditable 52 before he was caught by Jimmy Peirson off the delivery of Min Patel (3-27), Bromley remained deep in trouble on 112-7.

Bexley bowler Jason Benn (4-38) was Bromley’s tormentor in chief as they were eventually dismissed for 130 with just under three overs to spare.

Defending champions Hartley (145) drop down to third after they suffered a shock 23-run defeat at the hands of Sevenoaks (168).

Having won the toss and decided to bowl first, Hartley duo James Hockley (4-35) and Charlie Hemphrey (3-21) were in fine form in restricting Sevenoaks to 168.

Dan Stickels hit 58 in reply for the home side but he was to be the first of Tom Coldman’s (6-50) half dozen wickets, devastating figures which ultimately did for Hartley’s chances of victory.

Steady scoring from James Watson (40no), Chris Coulson (38), Phil Browning (32no) and Alex Darroch (27) helped Bickley Park post an innings of 184-6 at home to Blackheath.

But the respomse from the visitors was abysmal, as Richard Horner (4-19) and Daniel Magin (4-25) tore them to shreds and Blackheath were bowled out for 51 in under 20 overs.
